Mack Pond Fellow Program

The Rotary Club of Port Arthur honored its senior member, Mack A. Pond in 1987 by establishing the Mack A. Pond Fellow Program. The award was presented in recognition of Mr. Ponds Rotary career. This includes a term as District Governor and tenure as secretary of the Port Arthur Club and many civic contributions to Port Arthur and Southeast Texas.

To become a Mack Pond Fellow or designate/honor someone as a Mack Pond Fellow, you must be a member of the Port Arthur Rotary Club and contribute $250 to the Mack Pond Scholarship fund. This fund supports students at Lamar State College-Port Arthur. In recognition of the contribution, the Rotarian receives a plaque in Mr. Ponds name. In November 2008, the value of the fund was $42,223.
